PEACEFULLY PROTESTING

“This is Lucious Smith from “The Game Changers” movie. As member of the NFL Legends Community, I want to thank the National Football League for acknowledging the need to rescind their stance on the peaceful protest against systematic police brutality and murders of all African Americans.

When Colin Kaepernick took a knee against police brutality and murder, the National Football League turned a deaf ear to the Black Man’s struggles. Preventing the respectful peaceful protest against police brutality and murder, sent a message that we do not matter. BLM! The NFL’s correcting the “wrong” is a good start.

The Black athlete’s voice must be used as a platform since they are actively involved in their communities. NFL players make significant contributions by promoting health, fitness, education, and community programs. My hope is that the police will join the team to eliminate murders, abuse, and institutional racism.”
