Players look forward to the off season. It gives them a chance to recover from the bumps and bruises of competition. However, it is important to be aware that sports preparation is a year around job. Learning the teams systems and strategies will prepare you psychologically for competition. Strength and conditioning in the off-season may provide injury prevention, and conditions you so you don’t have to worry about becoming tired before the end of you tryout. You are able to focus mentally on the team strategy, and not if you will be injured or run out of gas. Like they say in the government, if you stay ready you don’t have to get ready!
